Paypal/Visa Part 2

And update on my story about the PayPal transaction for my writing course being cancelled and the time and phone calls to get this resolved:

Well, after another phone call to Paypal, and getting a different operator, it turns out the first payment went through after all! It was the second payment that the company tried to put through a few days later (instead of a month later like I thought it would) that got cancelled. It had nothing to do with my address with Visa not matching up and she didn't know why I was told that story.

All's well right? Well, I created a really weird thing when I went to pay the second and last installment. First, I had to go in and put money on my prepaid Visa card. I put extra on in case the exchange was higher. When I got home to pay through Paypal, I noticed that the exchange rate was $13 more! Last month I paid $307 Canadian, and now it was $320. I thought that was very odd, but I had put some extra on, but then saw that Paypal took off another three $1.50 amounts. The agent had explained that when any transaction happens, they hold back $1.50, then return it a few days later. But that meant I didn't have enough to pay for my course!

Next day, I put more money on. I had just over $100 in my bank, so I was shocked when my $30 transaction said "Non sufficient funds". I happened to find the $30 in cash, and then went home to find out what happened to my illusionary money! I discoverd that my employer's cheque bounced. I was now $100 in the hole.

But since I had put the money on Visa before that, I got my course paid for!But here is where it really got weird for me. After trying to put through the transaction again, no screen came up ahead of time telling me what the Canadian amount would be. AFTER the transaction went through, it said it would cost $304 Canadian! That is $16 less than it said an hour before. I thought my eyes were deceiving me - oh wait, even my eyes are a figment of my own imagination (as Jill Bolte Taylor so proundly discovered during her stroke).

After writing to the company who I bought the course from to say my payment had gone through, they wrote me back to say that the transaction was pending until September the 13th! Last time it went through right away. Which means, that after my fees come off on the 8th, I might not have enough money left again!

Even though all of this has been quite the saga, and I've felt quite frustrated at times, I am fully aware that I created it all and I have appreciated the genius of writing in this much crazy detail.

I have another short story to tell about Visa tomorrow. Well there really is no time, so there's no tomorrow, but I created time to give me the illusion of a past, present and future, when really, the past and future are all part of this present moment.

But there would be no story then, would there?
